Pants Fold Book - Kinder and First Grade

For this lesson I began by discussing storyboarding and story-telling. I then showed a quick video that shows a side-by-side of the story board and finished piece for a song from Disney's 'Tangled'. After the video I began to talk to the students about bookmaking and demoed how to make a book with one piece of paper using the pants fold method.

The demo was a step-by-step guide as the students followed along. I was able to go at a speed that allowed the class to keep up with me and allowed me to go back over any steps they needed repeated.

After creating the book, I allowed them to color the pages making sure that it told a story and had a cover.
