While student teaching at Little Elm High School I was able to experience multiple levels of art education. I viewed Art one through Art 4 and even an AP Art course. The classroom I was in focused on ceramics and sculpture as the main media for most projects, while art one did get to explore multiple mediums. I was able to see how clay can be used realistically in a classroom setting, and how it can be taught at even a beginner level. I was also able to hone my classroom management skills and learn how to help students with their problems in art without doing it for them. I learned many proactive methods for teaching art at this grade level as well.
