Mosaic Sun - PreK, Kinder and 1st Grade

For this fun paper mosaic lesson, I began with a short video that explained mosaics to the students. After the video I introduced our own mosaic project and played a demo video I created for the lesson.

The video walked them through using a plate tracer to create a large circle for their sun, tearing up one color at a time to create the mosaic 'tiles', and gluing that color down before moving on to the next. Due to time some students couldn't add faces on like my example to the left shows.
